Random Number Gen update
Things working out better now. Scaling numbers works very well, no bias in the tests!
Very happy now!

Random Number Generator
Okay, so I'm a nerd. Sue me.
I have been working on and off for a year now on a random number generator based on the thermal noise of a resister.
Small sample of data:
Dec Number: 8
Units: 1250000
1 156533 0.180792548536
2 155512 -0.474561448634
3 156449 0.127198000626
4 156057 -0.123672760594
5 156478 0.145707383786
6 156332 0.0524524729422
7 156347 0.0620414846463
8 156292 0.0268727765977
Dec Number: 4
Units: 2500000
1 625304 0.0486163530059
2 625957 0.152885901108
3 624058 -0.150947508084
4 624681 -0.0510660641191
The data so far looks really good and is passing the nist tests.
Hopefully soon I will have a real time True Random Number source for the gamers out there!

Round Chamber Geomorph Set A
My fist complete 5x5 geomorph set is complete.
The compressed tgz file contains all the individual tiff files. Sorry for the change, but png was not working out well.
Round Chambers: download
On a side note, this is harder than I thought it would be. :)

Geomorph Update
After taking a look at all the geomorphs that I've made in photoshop so far, I have come to a conclusion - I don't like them!
So I am starting over. This time with 5x5 grids. Still at 100dpi. These grids fit nicely into the 100x100 so as I gain more experience designing these little gems they should work nicely into the overall set.
Some of the rules I have come up with so far.

- For every open area that joins to another open area - 5 other tiles must be made before moving to a new base pattern.
- 2 pixel wide walls

Personal Geomorph project
How many geomorphs can a busy Father,Husband and Administrator do? I don't know, but we will find out.
Series 1 - 100 x 100 cave dead ends
Series 2 - 100 x 100 corridors
Series 3 - 100 x 100 corridors with small rooms
Series 4 - 100 x 100 caves that join
Series 5 - 100 x 100 caves, corridors and rooms
Since each geomorph has 8 possible entries and exits it is convenient to name them from a binary standpoint, thus each filename will be in 0000_0000.png format. The first group being 0000-255 and the second group being the series number 0001 - 0005 or higher!
I will post individual files as they are completed here and when a set is completed the whole set will be archived and made available for download. Final output will be .png files @ 250 x 250 x 100dpi resolution.
